The Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) proudly announces the launch of the “Cultural Horizons” program—a series of activity books and mini-encyclopedias for Ohio’s youngest citizens to help create understanding and awareness of Ohio’s growing diverse community.
|
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, the OCRC has published an Activity Book (K-5) which contains fun and engaging coloring, language, and picture-word match activities. Additionally, we are offering a journal titled Learn. Love. Live. (6-12) which contains statistics, language, contributions, and suggested activities that will engage and challenge your students to learn more about Hispanic-Americans and the Hispanic culture.

The mission of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission is to be “the primary educator and enforcer of Ohio’s laws against discrimination” and “to be a strong force in promoting positive human relations among our diverse population.” We are committed to fulfilling this mission and look forward to our continued success in raising cultural competency and awareness.
